The 301 Heavy Airlift Group Cooperative Multipurpose Society (301HAGCMS) is a welfare organization established in 2003 in Nigeria to support the needs of its members, which include both officers and airmen. It has grown significantly since its founding and currently boasts over 13,000 members and assets exceeding 8 billion naira.

Challenges

The Cooperative faced a significant challenge during their annual voting event. With members spread across Nigeria, organizing a centralized voting location proved impractical and limited participation. The traditional paper-based voting system posed logistical challenges and hindered member engagement.

301HAG Cooperative sought a solution to facilitate remote participation and increase engagement among its dispersed members.

Solution

Understanding these challenges, we proposed the implementation of an integrated online Voting and Lucky Draw ticket platform.
 

  • Secure Online Voting Platform: We used Vouchermatic’s Contest Module to create a secure and transparent online voting platform. Members could vote conveniently from any internet-connected device.
  • Two-Factor Authentication: To ensure only authorized members vote, we implemented 2-factor authentication. This added layer of security required both a valid member ID and a unique code sent via email for login.
  • Validation Checks: Validation checks were implemented at both email and member ID levels to ensure each member voted only once.
  • Lucky Draw Integration: All participating members were automatically entered into a digital lucky draw for exciting prizes, further incentivizing voting.
  • Email Notifications: Participants received email notifications containing their unique lucky draw ticket numbers.
